About
I'm a Ph.D. student in Operations and Decision Systems at Université Laval in Quebec City. My research focuses on robust optimization methods for emergency department staff rostering.
Before starting my doctorate, I worked as a researcher at CIRRELT, developing optimization models for transportation networks using MILP, constraint programming, and metaheuristic algorithms.
I hold a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University and a B.Sc. from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. My work sits at the intersection of operations research, machine learning, and healthcare logistics.
Research Interests
- Robust & stochastic optimization
- Healthcare operations & staff scheduling
- Machine learning for decision support
- Transportation & logistics optimization
- Process mining
Grounding
For the days research feels heavier than it should.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.
